- Strategic leadership of group through effective management of personnel, resources and quality
- Main liaison to Clinical/Medical Affairs in US operation to ensure compliance with regional policies, regulations and laws and coordinate communication between HQ and countries for scientific/medical aspects of business and policy matters
- Supervise and assimilate all relevant medical information about disease category, including competitive information, and translate into understandable messages for the SBU
- Together with Strategic Business Unit and Brand Leader, enhance growth opportunities through planning of R&D strategy to enhance market position of portfolio products
- Prepare scientific assessment/medical opinion for maintenance of existing products and new business opportunities, including assessment of third party offers, and identification of market trends
- Interaction with Project Managements and Clinical Operations to create and implements clinical development plans for new products/new labeling in order to realize clinical strategy
- Key role in building scientific relationships with KOLs in order to develop market opportunities and medical strategy
- Medical input and support of Regulatory interactions and documents - Post graduate degree in Natural Science, preference given to MDs with relevant experience in speciality (i.e. Dermatology and/or Gastroenterology)
- Minimum eight years in clinical/medical setting in pharma industry
- Successful track record in the design and organization of local/international trials, as well as development of clinical strategy
- Proven ability managing medical affairs tasks including support of pharmacovigilance, phase 4 studies, corporate challenges and defense
- Past experience in assessment of product claims and development of new concepts
- In depth knowledge of regulations governing Rx-OTC drugs (incl. ICH-GCP)
- Multi-tasking, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills are key for this role
